I recently rediscovered my Holga and took it for a walk. The processing and scanning of 120mm film is always some combination of annoying and expensive, but sometimes the results are worth the hassle.

Oh, I love that! I need to get my Holga out too, one of these days.
I take b&w shots with an ancient medium format camera. The film and processing is expensive like you said, and with 12 shots a roll, I have to be selective. But damn, those shots on film — even scanned in — look far better than digital. There are Photoshop tricks to get that kind of texture, but nothing beats the real thing.
