Dude, this is SO beta 9 February 2008

When we were developing Pixish, we had a decision to make. We could hold on to it for months, building in secret, sitting on our little egg, waiting until everything was picture perfect before launching ... or we could just put it up and see what happens. Since you're reading this now, you can guess what we did.

We decided to just put it out there because you can't have a community-driven project without actually having a community to drive it. And the only way to do that is to start meeting people. So here we all are.

A lot of sites say they're in beta without ever explaining what that means. Here's what it means to us: We're new. Some things will break. Some will just not be very clear. We're asking you to tell us what you think of it - the good and the bad - to help us make it better.

Please don't assume that anything you see here will be the same tomorrow. The navigation will change, features will come and go. That's what beta means.

Hopefully all the changes will be for the better, based on your feedback. But the only way to make sure is to participate - upload some pictures, make some assignments, submit your work. Then tell us how it went and what we can do better.

We're listening. We promise.

Thanks for joining us.
