The Details
Wildlife Forever, a nonprofit conservation organization, seeks color nature photography for our yearly calendar.
The cover is always a bald eagle and we use this image on our membership card the following year.
The photographs should include some action. If not, I like close face shots. But don't restrict yourself based on these comments if you have something exceptional.
READ THIS PART: North American wildlife in these categories only: big game, bears, upland birds, waterfowl, fish, raptors, deer family and non-consumptive wildlife. Song birds don't usually make it but the very colorful ones have a good shot. There should be no human reference in the shot. No fences, roads, people, etc.
Images must be horizontal, very sharp and reasonably large as a calendar page is 8 x 10.
We reserve the right not to choose any photographs from this venue but hope there is sufficient quality to choose all of them from here.
The Reward: $50
13 winners will get $50 in US dollars via PayPal.
We will pay $50 for each month's photograph and $100 for the cover shot plus another $50 to use the cover shot on our annual membership card.
A byline will be included in the calendar for each photograph and 2 samples of the calendar will be sent to those who are successful along with their checks.
The calendars are used in an annual fundraising appeal to our members and our expenses will be paid from the revenue generated. The mailing will go out in mid-September and you can expect payment around mid to late October.
Submission Guidelines:
- Maximum 10 photo submissions per member.
- Images must be at least 3000 pixels wide/high.
- Some digital adjustments (color, contrast, sharpness) allowed.
- File types allowed: JPG.

The Publication
Since 1987, Wildlife Forever has provided funding to more than 600 projects in 50 states plus Canada through private special interest conservation groups, state game and fish departments and federal agencies. Wildlife Forever projects target research, management, land acquisition, and educational purposes.
Your work will appear online at www.wildlifeforever.org and printed in ‘Wildlife Forever Calendar’.
