The Details
We are looking for an impactful image (photo or illustration) to be used as 2009 call for entries of the contest, to be published worldwide through banners and printed pages.
Wolda, the Worldwide Logo Design Annual, is the high-profile graphic design awards scheme that rewards the best logos and trademarks designed throughout the world. Thanks to its innovative and transparent three-tier judging procedure it has received the endorsement of the most important design associations all over the world. All the winning logos will be showcased online and published in a printed annual of exceptional quality.

The Reward: $1,600
1 winner will get $1,500 in US dollars via PayPal and prizes worth $100.
All participants will receive a free copy of Eulda '06 Annual (priced 66 euro) and a 25% discount unlimited copies of other Eulda Books publications, delivery costs excluded.
If an image will be selected for our purpose, it will be paid 1,000 euro and gain worldwide recognition.
Submission Guidelines:
- Maximum 1 photo or illustration submissions per member.
- Images must be at least 2000 pixels wide/high.
- Any digital adjustments (color, contrast, sharpness) allowed.
- Illustrations can be hand-drawn, vector line art, paintings, or mixed-media.
- File types allowed: JPG, GIF, or PNG.
The Publication
Wolda (www.wolda.org) is the high-profile graphic design award scheme that rewards the best logos and trademarks designed throughout the world. The winners are selected by an international three-tier jury consisting of 10 top design professionals, 10 marketing managers from major international clients and finally 10 members of the public (provided respectively by the worldwide organizations Icograda, Aquent and Consumers International).
This innovative judging mechanism reflects the actual process that turns any logo idea into a successful logo: the designers decide what to present to the clients, the clients decide what to present to the public, but in the end it is always the public that decides if a brand is successful.
The core of excellence generated by this process is collated in a printed annual, rewarding the best designers and the best clients, and creating an archive that tracks the evolution of tastes, styles and trends in global design, year after year. The annual has some innovative characteristics that make it unique in the realm of design publications, thanks to a partner who knows all about taking on challenges: the book is printed on Sappi acclaimed papers by Fontegrafica, winner of numerous worldwide awards.
